I'm reading Jonah Goldberg's book Liberal Fascism, and in defining what fascism is (which most people who talk about it don't do), one trait that he emphasizes is the way fascists seek to turn government into a secular religion. So, if you didn't have a case of the full-on heebie-jeebies about an Obama presidency before, let me suggest that now might be a good time to start.
