Hey, I bet that's a road that doesn't get a lot of traffic. But it's a transformation that can happen, and has happened. Via Justin Taylor, this is the story of Rosaria Butterfield.
If you can't listen to the whole interview, just try to catch the first 15 or 20 minutes. Listen to the way she talks, the patterns of her speech. This is clearly a person who was steeped in the multicultural, sexual liberation jibber-jabber of the modern university. At the same time, listen to the way she talks about her faith; all the little tells that mark her as a true believer. It's obvious that God has gotten hold of her in a deep and meaningful way. It's a remarkable thing, such a transformation. A glorious thing.
I like where she says about homosexuality, (paraphrasing) "We're all born broken and sinful, and some of us have to give up more than others in order to follow Christ."
ReplyDeleteYeah, just an incredible, incredible turnaround. It's not like I don't believe God is capable of that. But it's still breathtaking to see it.
