It's easy to see the effect that media bias can have on public perception when you compare the airheaded hick that was the media caricature of Sarah Palin with the plain-spoken, engaging governor we see in this interview. It's the difference you get when you conduct an interview with someone who's not actively trying to make you look like a doofus.
I think Palin's greatest failing as a candidate was that she approached the press in good faith, expecting that they would ask tough questions but not that they wanted to sabotage her. I don't know what else she'll do in national politics, but I suspect she won't make that mistake again.
